To completely re do a very undulating and dis functional garden and make it suitable to accommodate a home office, kids play, small vegetable garden and attractive borders for wildlife.
After major building works to the house, the surplus soil was used to level the garden into a more even gradient. The shed and large conifer were removed from the middle of the garden to open up the space.
A raised deck area outside the kitchen was created that lead down to an open lawn with flower beds, linked by a series of paths and an evening sun terrace. Mixing herbaceous with shrub planting meant the borders were colourful and robust providing shelter for wildlife and flowers had some protection from footballs.
