To create a low maintenance family garden (accommodating football), with a minimalist
and formal style in garden of a Grade l Listed building.
This Georgian house had a traditional but neglected garden with
a good south west facing aspect and mature trees backing onto Victoria Park.
The garden was completely cleared and canopies lifted to reveal a good sized plot with strong boundaries. An excavated piece of balustrade was used as a template to create a new Bath stone terrace balustrade.
A listed piece of tufa stone had to be retained and was relocated to form an attractive feature. Simple evergreen block planting using a limited colour pallet provided tough but attractive formal borders around a rectangular lawn.
