Design Brief A small part of a large sloping garden had already been
partly
landscaped by the previous owners and a pond of sorts installed. The
brief was to renovate the existing pond area and provide interest
through planting and a seating structure.
Before
An uninspiring pond with an awkward arrangement of stones and derelict
lawn area.
.
Solution A seating area
with timber decks floating over the edges had been provided to enable
closer wildlife studies. An overflow system from the pond was created
so that when it rained, water would provide extra moisture for the
artificial bog garden which will display large foliage and splashes of
vibrant colour.
